After a number of years of studying Thai Vedic Yoga Massage, I am now offering this service at the studio also. I am enormously grateful for the learning I have received so far in Thailand and here in Ireland.
In Thailand, Bodywork is cherished, respected and revered medicinally to alleviate influential social conditions such as emotional stress and physical fatigue. Sessions of Thai Massage empower the mind and comfort the body. It is seen as a martial art of healing and is stated to produce positive results instantaneously.
Sessions are adjusted and modified to address injuries, surgeries, acute and chronic conditions.
Thai Vedic yoga massage is where the modality of yoga and massage come together to create an amazing bodywork which is deeply releasing for the body on a physical and mental level. It focuses on the concept of invisible energy lines running through the body. Ten of these major lines are especially important acupressure points in Thai massage. The 10 Sen form a sort of “second skin” in addition to the physical body. In yoga philosophy life energy – Prana is absorbed with the air we breathe and with the food we eat and this energy is distributed to the body by the energy lines. Working these ten energy “Sen” lines in a massage helps to break blockages, restore general wellbeing and free up the flow of Prana in the body.
Flowing rhythmic compressions are used by means of the feet, knees, palms, elbows, forearms, and fingers and incorporated together with yoga poses, breath control, and energy to create an experience that includes a deep release of tension from the receiver’s body. The overall experience will leave the receiver invigorated, rested, and balanced.
This is a fully clothed massage.
